About John Mark Gleadow
John-Mark Gleadow was born in 1976 in central Delaware, just a few minutes from where he currently resides. After graduating from the University of Delaware in 1999 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, he immediately began his professional career as an artist. While still a student he was awarded solo shows, accolades and even gallery representation while still a student. John-Mark creates work which in appearance, seems to be a photograph, but couldn’t actually be taking place in reality.
Early influences on the young artist were Rene Magritte, Salvador Dali and VerMeer. John-Mark values great technical proficiency in the medium of oil paint, coupled with original and often surreal subject matter. Like these artists, John-Mark prefers to work in oils because of its richness and durability.

Limited Editions
Gleadow’s paintings are created with oils so they look as rich as anything in real life. It’s easy to believe that his work is just a photo taken by a friend, until you notice the one thing on each shelf that’s slightly off. The surrealist inspiration he takes from his early influences, Salvador Dali and Rene` Magritte, is clear.
We offer multiple limited editions for each piece by John-Mark Gleadow, as well as enhanced artist proofs.
