A note from the artist-
If you’ve lived at Lake Tahoe for a few years, you’ve likely seen snow in October – snow on the mountaintops with lower elevation fall foliage in full bloom. This year (’21), at the end of the fire season, we were blessed with a very large October dump of snow (it didn’t hurt the California water reservoirs either); hence, the inspiration for this piece. This is 30” in diameter, wenge frame with maple flakes, an English walnut background, displaying a cherry ribbon, and a veneer scene in the middle. The center design is comprised of over 1000 pieces of colored veneer, laminated together to only show their edges.
