A note from the artist:
This title comes from Eugene O’Neill’s play Long Day’ Journey Into Night. The painting, not unlike the play is about one day coming to an end, with Allit’s troubles and tribulations, it’s light and it’s darkness but with underlying love and hope for the future. That sometimes light gives way to darkness, but only to come back again as another day.
Volkov is well known for his awe-inspiring sunset scenes. Sunsets are truly most beautiful in person, or in a work of Volkov. He selects brilliant colors that truly capture the moment. These vivid dramatic scenes are sure to add depth and warmth to your space. While the colors are bright and luminous, they complement the tone of various styles and color palettes. If you are unsure which Volkov sunset you love most, our Art consultants are always available to help you make a selection.
