Pals on the Beach (Disney Limited Edition) Steve Barton Art in “Wavy” Frame From World-Famous Painter at Marcus Ashley Art Gallery in South Lake Tahoe
“I am amazed by the palm trees in California – the shadows they cast, the sounds they make.” – Steve Barton
For almost two decades, Marcus Ashley Gallery has been an irresistible attraction to visitors of Lake Tahoe, the Sierras, Northern California, and Nevada. Walking through the doors of its 4400 sq. ft. showroom is simultaneously a pleasurable and astounding experience. The wide array of spectacular artwork it exhibits includes the largest collection of Steve Barton art. These loose impressionistic paintings of tropical sceneries contain a Disney Limited Edition series that is consistently a source of amazement for the gallery’s guests.
Barton is known for vibrant and cheery colors reflecting the sunny climate of California. And yet, he possesses the dexterity to modify his style with fresh concepts. In Pals on the Beach, the artist delivers a rare variation of his signature relaxing life on the beach subject. This poignant piece is in black and white, an ode to the timeless appeal of Mickey and Pluto. The mischievous pair is rendered in full color, and Barton’s favorite deep red hue likewise makes a cameo on his trademark palm trees and copious flowers. Also in attendance is one of the bulky cars imported from his vintage vehicle series, a subtle reference to the birth era of the beloved cartoon characters.
