A note from the artist:
There are a few artists who I have learned from what it means to be an artist. Andrew Wyeth was one of them and so was Edward Hopper. This painting is my tribute to Edward Hooper’s “Sunlight In Empty Rooms”, but in an Andrew Wyeth kind of way. During their lifetime Hooper and Wyeth exchanged letters in which one of them wrote to the other. “in the end it all comes down to this simple thing – how the sunlight hits a white wall..”
