Outlaws (Limited Edition Giclee) Todd White Art From Globally Acclaimed Painter Available at Marcus Ashley Fine Art Gallery in South Lake Tahoe
“Who would have ever thought that a good time with friends would be illegal? Or maybe you just have been having the proper parties!” – Todd White
Marcus Ashley Gallery offers a vast collection of Todd White art. One of the famous painters of our time, White is known for his bold colored paintings rendered in the figurative expressionist style, tweaked a little here and there to make them his own. Seductive females in provocative poses are his favorite subjects, but every now and then, the artist is bitten by the nostalgia bug. When it happens, he turns to his canvas to revive lost glories.
Outlaws is one of those moments, an art-imitating-life ode to the legendary Southern Rock cult band from Tampa. In this print, founding members Henry Paul, Monte Yoho and Hughie Thomasson sport the ‘70s look of their career’s peak. The Florida Guitar Army, a term of endearment from their fans, sing, dance, and celebrate their success with White’s sexy sirens. For good measure, the artist throws in his trademark wine glasses. His genius is not lost in the partying – the fluid brushstrokes still pay tribute to the human body as an art form, and the language they speak in the characters is authentic joy.
And on and on they play on the Dixie Highway.
