A note from Sally-
Another Texas African Animal. I do not think I ever would have been able to witness this in the wild. In the Drive through Safari Park outside of San Antonio, where I first discovered the joy of shooting from your vehicle window without bars or chain link fencing, I happened upon this scene. I was careful not to disturb them and stopped a distance away. Mama was busy cleaning off the afterbirth. She allowed me to take as many photo as I wanted, but I decided to move off and give her their privacy after several minutes, knowing how important that bonding time is for a woman.
