“Passion is the emotion I bring to my artwork. Painting is the medium I use to express myself, and I love doing it.” – Charles Pabst
Surround yourself with inimitable Charles Pabst art that graces the grand walkways of the Marcus Ashley Gallery. The artist has honed a successful career as a landscape and impressionist painter. After 50 years of creating some of the most sought-after artwork, Pabst cannot imagine putting down his brush anytime soon. He shares how creating paintings comes naturally to him when he’s in front of a canvas. The gallery is proud to support and display his work for all to see.
In Posada De Pequenos, Pabst portrays a celebration called Las Posadas usually performed by young children in Mexico. The artist depicts kids in a procession, the child in front taking the lead as an angel. Dressed in robes and carrying lit candles, they venture into the night after church service. This tradition is practiced in remembrance of Joseph and Mary as they sought lodging when she was with child.
Posada De Pequenos imbues a sacred atmosphere through its intriguing narrative and moon-kissed landscape. It’s a lovely painting by Pabst highlighting his faith while celebrating his love for different cultures and traditions.
