What a fun experience! On this rainy fall day I was able to observe a black bear sow and her year old cub fishing for Kokanee Salmon in Taylor Creek at the South End of Lake Tahoe. Each time the sow caught a fish, the cub would wait nearby and take the scraps as his mother finished eating. This time the cub wasn’t so patient, attempting to take the fish before his mother was done. This tug-o-war ensued. What a joy to witness this type of playfulness in wild creatures in a time of plenty.
