Paradise Falls (Lucite Sculpture) Steve Barton Art From World-Renowned “Wavy” Frame Painter Available at Marcus Ashley Art Gallery in South Lake Tahoe
“There’s no place like Tahoe. It’s one of my home bases.” – Steve Barton
Marcus Ashley Gallery features the largest collection of Steve Barton art. Unbeknownst to some who are familiar with his body of work, the versatile artist is also a sculptor of fine art acrylic (Lucite). His creations in the ethereal medium are not only a marvel to behold but also distinct from the typical animal subjects of other Lucite artists. Translating his tropical sceneries into four-dimensional characters, Barton makes each piece phenomenal.
In Paradise Falls, the artist depicts Tahoe’s enchanting rapids, one of his recurring concepts. The loose impressionistic style that characterizes his oil paintings is apparent in the faithful representation of the cascading water beneath the tableau of a shack, a palm tree, and a bouquet of red flowers. His signature bold and bright colors are present as well.
This sculpture is the perfect ornament on a coffee table, display case, or fireplace mantel where a natural or artificial source of light can shine through. It can stand alone or be combined with bronze or other art forms.
