A note from the artist:

This color rich landscape is another of my India Ink Marker Drawings. The excellent photograph taken by Steve Pettit in the Snake River Canyon with it’s Basalt and lichen spoke to me and said not to use the black scratchboard techniques. I am loving the result and my ability to add grasses and brush over the top of the drawing of the rock wall as well as in front of the Big Horn Sheep pair. The fishing expedition that autumn afternoon yielded more than trout with the unexpected sighting upon turning the bend in the river. One never knows what treasure we will find!
