So, the journey began here. My spouse had just discovered Martinis because both his best friend and his favorite Daughter-in-law drank Martinis. He started off with very “dirty” ones. He absolutely fell in love with them. I memorialized the era we had just begun. I did not realize that this was the beginning of a bigger problem and love affair with alcohol itself. Several years ago, we took a look back at the progression and have made conscious attempts at limiting his and now my own intake. Totally quitting is not an option for him unless it was a medical issue. We face any repercussions head on and have made a rule that nothing important or emotional is discussed after even one sip.
