A note from the artist-
On one of my trips to South Africa, I took a friend and her husband. While he went off to Zimbabwe hunting, we stayed in Johannesburg and had a full-time driver at our disposal. I have a friend who used to live near there and work at a Cheetah preserve so I decided to look it up. It was close enough for a day trip and worth ever moment of it. Mamas and babies abounded, and I got to meet a “King Cheetah” with its beautifully spotted coat plus a pack of Wild Painted Dogs whose coats were equally beautiful. Sure saved the guys a lot of shopping money!
