Avid and new collectors can explore Michael Parkes art online or in person at the Marcus Ashley Gallery. The collections are accessible to anyone looking to acquire exquisite collections for a residential or commercial space. The artist has closely followed the works of Botticelli and Tiepolo during his formative years, and his work combines historic techniques and the subtle nuances of Victorian art, albeit with a modern spin.

Native Americans used spears while hunting for food or engaging in combat. They were often adorned with different colored feathers, each symbolizing an act of bravery. It was believed that the more feathers the spear carried, the braver the owner.

In Stalking, the artist reveals four distinct feathers lined at the bottom of the litho print, revealing how the female warrior is undoubtedly a strong symbol of valor and strength.

Parkes also reveals a soft side to the warrior as she stops to observe a dragonfly amidst a bushel of tulips. For just a few moments, she allows the delicate scent of the blooms to fill up her senses.

Rich tones of gold, ivory, pearl white, and pale cream fill Stalking with palpable energy and sublime beauty.
