For travelers and the residents of Lake Tahoe, the Marcus Ashley Gallery is the perfect place to meet new and exciting people while viewing priceless works of art. The staff is happy to assist collectors with choosing the best pieces for a location. Besides the Michael Flohr art that is proudly on display, visitors can explore plenty of splendid collections.

Flohr shares an exciting memory of a night in Atlanta, which is a city in Georgia. The city is known for its friendly locals and laid-back atmosphere. While the artist was in town with his wife, they stumbled upon Fontaine’s Oyster Bar. One thing’s for sure, Atlanta folks know how to do a happy hour—with oysters. Fontaine’s is famous for whipping up a fresh batch of oysters with a side of fantastic cold beers or cocktails.

In Fontaine’s, the artist paints the Virginia-Highland seafood bar along the street. A couple hangs out by the door under the bar’s neon sign while another leaves after a night of drinks and camaraderie. Sweeping, enthusiastic brushstrokes and kaleidoscopic hues create gentle and pronounced smears.

Many of Flohr’s travels are punctuated with interesting anecdotes that provide the perfect inspiration for his masterpieces. Fontaine’s will lend any room a generous dose of character and warmth.
