The Marcus Ashley Gallery equally celebrates the works of local and international talents. Visitors enjoy viewing the collections and absorbing the stories they have to share. From Dr. Suess and Michelangelo to Frogman and Steve Barton, the gallery is a haven of some of the best works of art. All are welcome to explore the pieces on display, including Michael Flohr art.
Born and raised in California, the Golden State holds a special place in Flohr’s heart. In Coronado Beach Walks, he paints a panoramic stretch of pristine sand and deep blue waters.
The artist uses frantic yet purposeful brushstrokes and layers of vivid paint to create rich textures. Mountain vistas, towering pine trees, the famous Coronado hotel, and skyscrapers dot the landscape while also revealing a smattering of SoCal residents soaking up the afternoon sun.
Flohr shares with us a memory of a perfect day that viewers can relish from the comfort of a room. It’s like you can almost hear the sounds of chatter, laughter, crashing waves, and the cries of the seagulls. Coronado Beach Walks will make a lovely addition to any space.
