“I often travel with my wife and children to explore, photograph, and paint the diverse panorama of the American West.” – Charles Pabst

Given their mutual love of art and the Sierra Nevadas, the patrons of the Marcus Ashley Gallery chose to establish it in Lake Tahoe. The Californian brick-and-mortar establishment honors and curates Charles Pabst art. Visitors can explore a large collection of the artist’s work along with other fine exhibits at the gallery.

Pabst looks to the famous resplendent trailhead in Arizona as his prime subject for his painting titled Reavis Ranch. The ranch located in Tonto National Forest is home to the Superstition Mountains and Apache Lake. Ravaged by fires in 1991, the ranch has since thrived despite holding onto remnants of the damage.

In this piece, Pabst portrays the ranch’s vast acres of cacti and Sonoran vegetation that run wild and free. As you hike through the incredible Superstition Wilderness, its exposed beauty will leave you lost for words. The artist uses bright hues against subdued sandy tones to create a panoramic view that deftly captures this scenic trailhead’s famed majesty and natural beauty.

Reavis Ranch will saturate a room with a pleasing aesthetic and prove to be a worthy buy for avid collectors.
