“One of my favorite things about painting is to be able to take a trip in my mind, combine fact and fantasy to create an inspirational place to be.” – Charles Pabst
Charles Pabst art is beautifully displayed across the regal, aesthetically pleasing walkways of the Marcus Ashley Gallery. The highly skilled staff is trained to handle the delicate process of buying art. It’s why the gallery is a choice location for interested buyers to acquire sculptures, paintings, limited editions, and so much more.
Pabst’s painting Moran Point breathes life into a place frequented by outdoor enthusiasts. Situated at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, Moran Point is the only location from where the three major canyons can be seen, namely, the layered Paleozoic Rocks, the Grand Canyon Supergroup, and the Vishnu Basement Rocks. From here, the canyon’s geological structures rise in the morning light.
The artist paints a faint outline of the Colorado River that runs right below the impressive range of canyons.
Pabst alternates between sweeping and distinct brushstrokes to create the illusion of light and shadows. Through a palette of gold-tinted hues, the artist depicts an almost ethereal representation of Moran Point as fluffy clouds scatter across the horizon, creating an enchanting view.
