The Marcus Ashley Gallery is graced with the tranquility of Lake Tahoe and the stunning sight of the Sierra Nevada. The lush forests and the calming vistas stimulate your senses, helping you focus better on our art collection. This includes artworks by 2Wild, an art duo comprised of siblings Miri and Barak Rozenvain.
Miri Rozenvain art features distinct paint splatters and sharp brushstrokes. Her brother, however, is more interested in telling a story through intriguing textures. They bring nature to life through their artistic collaboration that comes in mixed media form.
Lasso of Freedom literally tells the audience to “enjoy life’s simple pleasures” via the magazine cutout at the very top of the artwork. Few things capture this idea, as well as getting involved in rodeo, where you must be attuned to the animal and the land if you want to succeed. The subject is almost kinetic in the way that you can feel the sheer drive and charisma of the cowboy astride a majestic steed through clean and calculated paint splatters.
Lasso of Freedom is the story of individuals that responsibly handle the freedom they’ve been given. May it inspire you to take the reins of your life and live your own adventures, too.
