Pamela Findleton is an artist who exposes the often overlooked divinity of life's everyday movements. Using a variety of vibrant, animate colors she lures her viewer into a world of surreal fluidity and spirituality. Color and movement are the mainstays of Pam's work. Pam believes that "Shape and shadow draw me to paint. As everything in life involves both these components, I see nearly everything as inspirational: women working in a field, a wine glass resting on a window sill, the subtle look of mischief on my daughter's face. Color and light tell a story in every moment of our lives. It's a story that I try to make visible on canvas."

Pamela Findleton is an internationally collected artist who works out of her studio at the Findleton Estate & Winery in the Sierra Foothills. Findelton works primarily in watercolor and pastels, and her subject matter includes bears, wolves and Lake Tahoe land­scapes.

Through her artwork, she exposes the often over-looked divinity of life’s everyday moments. Using a multitude of vibrant, animated colors to express her subject matter, Findleton lures the viewer into a world of surreal fluidity and spirituality. The viewer is issued a challenge: to see and appreciate the undertones and highlights of everyday life. Color and movement are mainstays of her work, as is an intense versatility. Findleton never allows herself to be caged by dogma on genre; intead, she invites curiosity and passion to guide her hand at the easel.

This is apparent in the unique breadth of work she has created. Findleton has been featured on the cover of the Wine Times in recognition of her artistic wine label designs, and was given the Olympian Award by the Pastel Society of the West Coast. Her work is internationally collected and now featured on the “Findleton Estate & Winery” labels exclusively.
